Sausage Soup

I cooked this up with a standard recipe but added to it so much it became my own.  I started with:

5 to 7 links of sweet sausage (use hotter is you would like more bang)
1 clove of crushed fresh garlic
1 tsp Basil
1 tsp oil

(or you can start with already cooked sausage from earlier meal, or even with ground up sausage )                                                                   
Brown the sausage with the garlic, basil and oil
Cut into bite sized pieces

Drain off fat and add the following
1 can (15 oz) of red kidney beans
1 can (15 oz)of black beans
1 can (15 oz) Diced tomatoes in garlic w/ onion
1 whole white onion cropped (med)
2.5 cups of beef broth
1 cup of whole grain
Bring to boil and let simmer for 15 minutes

While boiling cook about 2 cups of bow tie pasta in separate pan to tenderness of you liking drain (do not rinse)

After the rice in the soup has lost its bite, add the pasta and ENJOY!

Makes about 6 HARDY BOWLS!
