- 1 egg
- garlic salt to taste
- onion salt to taste
- pepper
- 1/2 cup plain panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup finely shredded cheddar jack cheese (add more to taste)
- 3 oz cooked real bacon peices- (I cooked 6 real bacon strips and chopped)
- 1 package 14 oz uncooked chicken tenders (not breaded) ** You can increase for a bigger crowd, just make sure to increase other ingredients)
- Heat oven to 400°F
- Spray roasting grill pan with cooking spray (for easy clean up line with foil and spray)
- Season each chicken tender with garlic salt, onion salt, and pepper
- In small bowl, beat egg
- In large bowl, place bread crumbs, cheese and additional garlic salt, onion salt, and pepper and dip chicken into egg
- Place & press each chicken tender in the bread crumb mixture and coat the entire tender
- Place chicken tenders on sprayed roasting grill pan, sprinkle on Bacon and more cheese to taste
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes, until chicken is no longer pink in center and topping is toasted
My boys loved this and have asked for it a few times since I first made it. It was enjoyed by all and reheated well in toaster oven and in microwave.
